‘Carawatha’ Rustic Luxury

This double brick, 100 year-old homestead at ‘Carawatha” Wongarbon was rejuvenated in 2018. The exposure of the solid red clay was bought to life by removing the entire render from the internal walls. Carpet was removed to find beautiful generous cypress boards which create a luxurious experience. The history of this old property means the world to their owners. We used some old railway beams and rafters from a nearby fallen bridge to create an exposed beam with posts through the new living and kitchen area to maintain the character and timelessness of the space.

This renovation and extension has been beautifully furnished and is a well and truly loved home for this young family.
